1. License Applied to Published Articles
Unless an individual article states otherwise, all articles published in Eureka Herba Indonesia are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
Full license text: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/
2. What Readers May Do
Under this license, any person is free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format; and
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.
These freedoms apply immediately upon publication, without charge, registration, subscription, or embargo, and cannot be revoked by the journal or the publisher so long as the license terms are observed.
3. Conditions
- Attribution — appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license supplied, and any changes indicated. Credit must identify the author or authors, the article title, the journal name, the year, and the DOI.
- NonCommercial — the material may not be used for primarily commercial purposes.
- ShareAlike — adaptations must be distributed under the same license as the original.
- No additional restrictions — no legal terms or technological measures may be applied that restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
4. Commercial Reuse
Use for primarily commercial purposes requires written permission from the copyright holder, that is from the author or authors. Requests may be directed to the authors, or to the editorial office at eureka.herba.indonesia@gmail.com, which will forward them to the corresponding author. The journal does not grant commercial licenses on the authors' behalf and does not levy a fee for such permission.
5. Recommended Attribution Format
Author A, Author B. Title of the article. Eureka Herba Indonesia. [year];[volume]([issue]):[pages]. https://doi.org/10.37275/ehi.[identifier]. Licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
6. Scope of the License
The license applies to the full text of the article and to the figures, tables, and supplementary material created by the authors. It does not extend to third-party material reproduced in the article under separate permission; such material remains subject to the terms stated in its own caption or credit line. It likewise does not extend to the journal's name, logo, or visual identity, which remain the property of the publisher.
7. Machine-Readable License Information
The license applicable to each article is recorded in the article metadata and deposited with Crossref, so that it can be read automatically by indexing services, repositories, and research information systems. The license URI is displayed on the article landing page and on the first page of the article PDF.
8. Archiving and Reuse by Authors
Authors may deposit the published version of their article in any repository immediately upon publication, with no embargo, provided that the original publication is acknowledged and the license is indicated. Details of the rights retained by authors are set out in the journal's Copyright Notice.
9. Review of This Policy
Any change to the license applied by the journal takes effect only for articles published after the date of the change. Articles already published remain available under the license in force at the time of their publication; a license once granted cannot be withdrawn.
